The appointment of Tracey Burton as Executive Director was made on 19 March 2018, following the announcement in November 2017 from current Executive Director Peter Worland that he would retire after five years with Uniting.
Ms Burton has an extensive background in the health sector, having held roles as Executive Director Eastern Hospitals, St John of God Health Care; Chief Executive Officer St George Private Hospital, Ramsay Health Care; General Manager Corporate Services, St Vincent’s & Mater Health Sydney; Executive Director Mater Private Hospital, South Brisbane; and, Project Manager and General Manager, Hawkesbury District Health Service.
Chair of the Uniting Board Heather Watson welcomed Ms Burton to the role at Uniting.

“Tracey is an experienced CEO with more than 30 years’ experience in the Australian health sector, including leadership roles in public and private hospitals and within the Catholic healthcare sector across NSW, Queensland and Victoria.

Ms Burton will commence in the role of Executive Director on 16 April 2018. Mr Worland will continue to support the handover and transition until his retirement on 30 June 2018.
